this is stupid not only is it more expense for the current racer but wots the point we have raced all these years without it so why start now. But, also it takes away aspects of driver skill. and it is more weight in the car so therefore slow down the racing a little bit. In my view its not needed but hey im not the governing body of the sport so wot can i do

Jesus H Christ … All this bleedin tinkering with the sport with piffling things like batteries (never mind the cost for the club racer) yet you’re still allowed to have a 1″ box cage, cobbled together by John Doe with his pub gas welder, in a car that may be capable of over 80mph in 4 or 5 seconds!

With the BAS becoming more and more popular, will we ever see a split series? i.e, a 4 round Southern Championship and a 4 round Northern Championship with say the top 16 drivers from each class of the South meeting the top 16 drivers from each class from the North at an end of season grand final?

I think why change something that works? in my mind the name of the game is consistency whether its across 4 rounds or five their is arguement for both sides an i guess its a hard call to make. I had the class 7 championship in the bag by round four in 03 but in 04 in the nine it was totally different going down to the last race. I quite like the drop round as it allows for all kind of things life commitments, bad luck etc so because of these reasons id have to opt for keeping the drop round maybe it should go to a vote from all bas registered drivers see what happens an go with the majority as its the drivers it affects ultimately let us decide.
